 TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 
General Terms
1. These Terms apply to any booking made with Elegant Laundry via its online booking software, app, website, email, phone, or text.
2. Elegant Laundry may change these Terms from time to time and will post all updates on the Elegant Laundry website. It is the client’s responsibility to read the updated versions at the time of a new booking.
3.Elegant Laundry staff will not be liable for any delays or failures in performance due to events outside of their control.
Bookings and Cancellations
4. You can cancel or alter your booking up to 1 hour before your items are scheduled for collection. All cancellations made under the 1-hour limit will incur a $10.00 fee added to your next booking.
5. Elegant Laundry reserves the right to cancel your order if an event occurs outside of their control. You fail to make items available for collection. There is a safety issue on your property that may injure Elegant Laundry staff. The details provided are incomplete or deemed false.
Delivery and Collection
6. It is the client’s responsibility to have items ready for collection from 8:00 AM, Monday to Friday.
7. Elegant Laundry staff may be required to leave items at your booking address unattended, without a signature or in-person handover. 
8. If items are left unattended upon delivery, they are no longer the responsibility of Elegant Laundry once staff have left the property. If you do not wish for your items to be left unattended, please notify staff when booking.
Special Instructions: Washing
9. All items needing to be washed undergo a presoak treatment prior to washing. Elegant Laundry does not guarantee that all types of stains will be removed. If additional treatment is required, please notify us in the “special instructions” section upon booking, and you will be charged accordingly.
10. All items are weighed after collection in a dry state.
11. All items will be washed in cold water unless notified otherwise.
12. Any items requiring a specific washing liquid will need to have that liquid provided by the client. If it is not provided, making the booking grants Elegant Laundry permission to use their washing liquid of choice.
13. Any soiled or bloodied items must be declared when booking. Failure to do so may incur a $5.00 fee.
14. Items will be separated into whites and darks. If you require further sorting or wish for no sorting, you must notify us upon booking.
15. Elegant Laundry staff are not responsible for any color bleeding throughout the washing process. If you have concerns about this, please let us know upon booking.
16. All clients receive a complimentary bag upon the delivery of their items. If you wish your items to be returned in something else, please provide it at pick-up.
Special Instructions: Ironing
17. Wire coat hangers are provided with each service. If you require special hangers, please provide them with your laundry at pick-up.
18. All ironed items will be returned in complimentary garment bags. Recurring clients are encouraged to reuse these bags and place them with items for future bookings. Cost and Pricing
19. The pricing outlined on the website applies at the time of booking.
20. A minimum service charge of $60.00 per pick-up applies to ALL bookings. This includes the pick-up and delivery fee.
Payment Terms
21. An invoice will be emailed once the laundry service pricing is confirmed, and your items will be delivered after payment is received.
22. Any special payment terms, including requests for EFT payments or terms up to 7 days, must be approved prior to the customer creating a booking. This may include additional fees.
23. Elegant Laundry does not currently offer alternative payment options for NDIS, Aged Care, Home Care, DVA, or Insurance customers.
Damaged and Missing Items
24. Elegant Laundry handles all garments with reasonable care, but we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials that are not apparent prior to processing. We are not liable for normal wear and tear, including unexpected shrinkage, fading, or the gradual deterioration of fabrics.
25. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure all pockets are completely emptied prior to collection. Elegant Laundry is not responsible for damage to your garments caused by items left in pockets (such as pens, coins, lipstick, hardware, or keys). Furthermore, we are not liable for damage to existing garment hardware, including zippers, buttons, snaps, or decorative ornaments.
26. Any damaged or missing items must be reported to Elegant Laundry within 48 hours of your delivery. Claims made after this timeframe will not be accepted.
27. In the rare event that Elegant Laundry is found responsible for damaging or losing an item, our liability will be strictly limited to 3 times the cost of cleaning that specific item, up to a maximum of $50.00 per item. 
Unclaimed or Unpaid Items
 28. Any items left unpaid or undeliverable for more than 14 days after the initial invoice date will be considered abandoned. Elegant Laundry reserves the right to dispose of or donate these items to charity without further notice or liability to the client. Missing Care Labels or Delicate Items
Care Labels and At-Risk Items 
29. Elegant Laundry will process items according to their manufacturer care labels. If a care label is missing, unreadable, or if you request a treatment contrary to the label’s instructions, Elegant Laundry processes the item entirely at the client’s risk and will not be liable for any resulting damage.
30. We do not offer specialized leather, suede, or wedding dress cleaning. If these items are included in your regular laundry bag, we return them unwashed or wash them strictly at your own risk. 
Hazardous Materials and Pests
 31. For the health and safety of our staff and the integrity of our equipment, Elegant Laundry strictly refuses items infested with bed bugs, fleas, or other pests, as well as items soaked in hazardous chemicals. If such items are found in your bag, the order will be immediately cancelled, items will be sealed and returned to you, and a minimum service callout fee will apply.
